Temple acolytes are commonly seen in both Buddhism and Daoism. Many temple acolytes, due to inadequate cultivation in past lives and various other reasons, fall into Samsara. In this life, they suffer greatly and are prone to possession, hence the need to find a wise master to guide them in early Cultivation to return to their original state. Many who choose Going into Solitude and cultivators are of this type.
3. Due to Past Connections: Typically, these are acolytes who owe debts of gratitude or money from past lives and are born in this life to either collect or repay these debts.
