Burn High Incense(烧高香):

Burn High Incense is an idiom rooted in traditional Chinese culture. Literally, it refers to lighting and offering tall incense sticks in a temple, usually to pray for good fortune, peace, or the fulfillment of specific wishes.

This practice is observed in both Buddhism and Taoism. In modern Mandarin, “Burn High Incense” has taken on an extended meaning, used to describe someone experiencing an extremely fortunate event, often with a hint of humor or exaggeration.

For example, when someone receives a rare opportunity or narrowly averts a disaster, people might say he “really burned high incense.”
