Golden Cymbal(金铙):
In Chinese, it is pronounced as: jīn náo,Written as:

As the name implies, the Golden Cymbal is a cymbal made of metal. In “Journey to the West”, the Golden Cymbal originally belonged to Maitreya Buddha. It was stolen by the demon Huang Mei when he descended to the mortal world and used as his weapon against Tang Seng and his disciples. After Sun Wukong escaped, he shattered the Golden Cymbal with his Golden Hoop, and it was later reclaimed and restored by Maitreya Buddha.
In ancient China, a cymbal, usually made of bronze, is a percussion instrument very similar in shape to a gong. Both the cymbal and the gong are round, hat-shaped instruments, the main difference being that the elevated center of the cymbal is smaller, about one-fifth of its diameter; whereas the gong’s elevated center is larger, about half its diameter, and is hemispherical. This comparison shows that, with the same diameter, the cymbal has a smaller raised center, which helps us imagine the suffocation and helplessness Sun Wukong felt when trapped inside it.
The Golden Cymbal can vary in size and, despite its incredible hardness, retains some flexibility. The Golden Cymbal carried by the demon Huang Mei was in fact an ancient percussion instrument, resembling two hats locked together, often used in various religious ceremonies.
