Moral Education

Moral education is a systematic educational process focusing on cultivating individuals’ moral concepts, emotions, and behaviors, aiming to shape students’ ethical character through value guidance, normative training, and practical internalization. Its content spans multiple dimensions, including ideological and moral standards, legal awareness, and mental health, implemented through classroom education, family influence, and social impact, ultimately achieving the integration of moral cognition and behavior.

Moral education, or ethics education, is a crucial component of the educational system, focusing on instilling ethical norms, value standards, and social responsibility in students. Its core objective is to help students establish a correct worldview, outlook on life, and values, such as enhancing social participation awareness through responsibility education and improving interpersonal empathy abilities through compassion development. Unlike mere knowledge transmission, moral education emphasizes a “emotional recognition-cognitive understanding-behavioral practice” closed-loop process, such as in bullying scenarios, where students are taught to understand the concept of equality and respect and guided to take action to protect others’ rights.
