In Chinese, it is pronounced as: fù bǎn,Written as:

Fuban is an insect from ancient texts. According to the dictionary, the Fuban is a fictional insect created by Liu Zongyuan, but records of the Fuban appear even earlier in the “Erya.” In Liu Zongyuan’s “Tales of the Fuban,” it is said that the Fuban is a small bug that loves to carry things on its back. When it crawls and encounters objects, it always grabs them and lifts its head to carry these items. The more it carries, the heavier the load becomes, yet it never stops, even when extremely fatigued.

In the video game “Black Myth: Wukong,” Fuban is a Guai king appearing in the second chapter at Yellow Wind Ridge. Fuban is the final boss on the Hidden Shari Kingdom map. Fuban’s most threatening ability is to burrow into the sand and launch sporadic attacks. Once its health is reduced by half, a plot trigger occurs, and the Yellow Wind Sage also joins the battle to fight against Fuban together.
