The Three Realms(三界):

According to Taoism, the Three Realms refer to Heaven, Earth, and Human realms. Heaven realm: Filled with pure energy, it is the domain of Immortals and sages, a holy world beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Human realm: A mixed realm of purity and impurity, it encompasses males and females, joy and sorrow, day and night, representing the domain where people live.

Underworld: Filled with impure energy, it contains the eighteen levels of hell and governs life, death, and karma.

When a person dies, their soul enters the Underworld, where it is evaluated by the spirits of the underworld, separating good from evil, judging the soul’s actions and intentions.
