Victorious Fighting Buddha(斗战圣佛):

In the Chinese mythical novel “Journey to the West,” the main character Sun Wukong attains Buddhahood by the end of the story, receiving the Buddhist name “Victorious Fighting Buddha.”

This title places him among the renowned “Thirty-Five Buddhas” within Buddhism.

The term “Buddha” signifies “the enlightened one,” a concept rooted in Buddhist teachings.

In “Journey to the West,” Sun Wukong’s ennoblement occurs in the Thunder Monastery at Mount Ling in Tianzhu, which is located within the realm of Western Cattle Gift Continent (a fictional place not of this Earth), and is part of the artistic narrative of the novel.
